Grant Description

VIBOE’s Territorial Loan/Grant provides a combination of grant and low‑interest loan to eligible USVI residents pursuing post‑secondary education.

Eligibility

  • Bona fide resident of the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Graduate of a VI high school or proof of 3 years USVI residency
  • Accepted to or attending an accredited institution full time
  • Minimum cumulative GPA per program rules (see site)

Application Requirements

  • Online application via VIBOE portal
  • Official transcript (high school or college)
  • Proof of residency and acceptance/enrollment
  • Additional documentation as specified by VIBOE

Key Terms

  • Loan portion: 6% interest; 2% delinquency rate; repayment begins 1 year after graduation
