Program Description

Under FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) suite, eligible fire and EMS organizations can apply to:

• AFG: Operations and safety, equipment, vehicles, training
• SAFER: Staffing for adequate fire and emergency response
• FP&S: Fire prevention and safety, research and development

Eligibility

• Career, volunteer, and combination fire departments and related organizations

Application Process

• View current cycles and apply per each program’s NOFO
