Program Description

EFSP supplements local nonprofit and government work that provides shelter, food, and supportive services for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. In the USVI, CFVI administers EFSP locally for eligible agencies when funding rounds open.

Eligibility

• Local nonprofits and government social service agencies in the USVI
• Uses include mass sheltering, mass feeding, rent/mortgage, and utilities assistance per EFSP guidance

Application Process

• Monitor announcements from the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI)
• Apply through CFVI’s grant portal during open rounds; awards are paid by the National Board
